The barn reached a stopping point. It hasn't been insulated or completely finished inside, but the improvements we made do make it prettier and more functional than it was. Small changes will happen with the help of the children to make it more of a useful space for kids to hangout at times.
The garage plans were drawn up in the summer of 2021. The permits were pulled and building began in the spring of 2022.
It was a busy summer and fall, and by winter we had the basic plan complete.
Winter was wiring, and filled with stress about inspections from which I will spare my readers.
In the spring of 2023 we surged forward with insulation and hvac and by summer this year I was installing finishes in tao's workspace above the garage.
tao @ Pleasant Row officially has a home office.
I painted and installed floors myself, but Kevin helped with a lot of the work. I'm currently installing some old cabinets, and all of the stuff I've moved in is scattered while I build the storage. More updates on the space will be in future blog posts.
